It is required for all grade levels.
Aspen School District Registration days for all grades will be August 15th and 16th. You will come to AES to receive your child’s teacher information, learn about kindergarten tuition and pay a classroom supply fee that will cover all supplies for the year. You may also complete the online registration process if you have not done so. It is encouraged that you complete before arriving to ensure your child is placed in a class.
Once your child has been placed in a class, you will be contacted by the teacher and parents and students will have a chance to meet with their teacher on either August 26th or 27th.
The first 3 days of school in August are ½ days for kindergarten students. They will attend in the morning from 8:15am – 11:00am. Parents must pick up student at AES at 11:00am. The 4th day of school (Tuesday, September 3rd ), will be the first full day of kindergarten 8:05am – 3:15pm.

REVISED PEANUT POLICY
Peanut Reduced/Food Allergy Aware at ASD schools --- The Cottage and AES
The Aspen School District schools, The Cottage and Elementary School, are changing from a PEANUT FREE environment to one that is a Peanut Reduced/ Food Allergy Aware environment.
The Cottage and Aspen Elementary School will strive to maintain a Peanut Reduced and Food Allergy Aware environment. This effort is made out of concern for young students with severe food allergies. These allergies have the potential to cause significant illness and/or life threatening anaphylaxis.
The Cottage and Aspen Elementary School will strive to maintain a Peanut Reduced and Food Allergy Aware environment. This effort is made out of concern for young students with severe food allergies. These allergies have the potential to cause significant illness and/or life threatening anaphylaxis.
We ask that parents DO NOT send peanut butter sandwiches or other lunch or snack items made with peanut butter. Other items where peanuts are not a primary ingredient but made in peanut processing plant are acceptable.
We ask that families respect our Food Allergy Aware environment and additional requests from classroom teachers.
In addition, in efforts to reduce unintended food allergy exposures, each school will encourage GOOD HANDWASHING, NO FOOD SHARING and THOROUGH WIPING OF TABLES.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES / COMMUNITY RESOURCES
NEW THIS YEAR....We no longer are placing community activity ‘flyers’ in our school newsletters. Instead, we are providing links to those community Web sites and/or flyers on our District Web site. Please go to the COMMUNITY tab at the top of any school's home page and scroll down to the STUDENT ACTIVITIES / COMMUNITY RESOURCES link to view the different community resources available. This link is also located in the left column of the District home page.
